As I reflect on the world my daughter is growing up in, I realize she will never know life without a smartphone, let alone a computer or internet. In kindergarten, she was doing her homework online! Last week I was helping her learn my cell phone number. She had 10 digits to remember, unlike many of her classmates, because I still use the cell number that I’ve had for the last 20 years.
What if life was simpler for her? What if she could just touch a button if she had an emergency and needed help?
So tonight, as I am getting ready to head back to HSN, I reflected on when I was introduced to the product I’m offering tonight and I couldn’t believe how valuable it is. What is it? A 911 pendant…with no monthly service fee. No cell phone needed, no home phone needed, no base unit. Just a simple one touch button.
When we think of a 911 pendant we immediately think of our parents that fight to keep their independence when age forces them to become dependent on us with daily activities. But then I thought of my daughter, as she gets older she becomes more and more independent from me, but all I want is to ensure her safety wherever she goes. I taught her to use pendant….gives me peace of mind. And now I’m so excited to be able to offer that same peace of mind and value. This might well be the most exciting item I’ve presented in my career.
