Integrating Work Life and Mom Life with Nikon Coolpix s33

Integrating Work Life and Mom Life with Nikon Coolpix s33

Sometimes we work for weeks on a product to present on HSN. In this case, we had a crazy quick turn-around but we enjoyed the adventure. There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t thank my lucky stars for a rewarding career that allows me to spend time with my daughter doing things we love.

So….here’s a little behind the scenes look at preparation for the Nikon S33 this week.

I get a call from the buyer. “Can you present the Nikon underwater camera?” “Sure.” I have no idea what I just committed to. “When can I pick up the camera?” I said. With the camera sample in hand, the adventure began.

First, I usually play with the camera and look over the features. Then I take as many pictures and videos as possible to test the limits of what the camera can do. In this case, we just went to the went to the water park..

..the underwater video from the park seemed a little cloudy so we planned a pool party for the next day..

A mom can never have enough mom friends and we are fortunate to have a wide circle of fun families. One family that is close to our hearts is the LaBarca family. It seems they are always up for playing so we dove in, to their swimming pool that is. Aiden, Alexa and Juliette seemed to be having a lot of fun goofing off with the camera, but under the water and on top.

The next morning, the Nikon and I had some zen time on the paddle board (insert several good videos),

My friend Dan LoBuono sent over some fun pics he took with the Nikon as well. Love Sophia’s modeling!

The next day was quite an adventure, as we tried to have some fun in the sun before the rainstorm arrived. The dedicated video button on top is so easy to use, Caj agreed to show us just how easy it is.  Love this video!

At the last minute we tried to set up the slip & slide to have a little fun an look what happened?

So guess what? We played in the rain! It’s waterproof, why not?

We even froze it in a block of ice (pic) to see if it really could pass the freeze test. It worked! Look closely, we are playing back pictures while the camera is frozen. Awesome.

And don’t you just love surprises? I thought I was just picking Victoria up from a playdate, but Evan and Nicole invited us on their boat for a short evening cruise. How convenient to have the Nikon with us! Yes, this really happened.

Last but not least, take a look at how well the zoom feature works.

And it all comes together for the HSN presentation..

What did we learn?

Nikon makes a great camera.

It’s fun to play in the rain.

Life and work can we totally integrated.

We love what we do!!!!
