Whether hosting or producing, Lea Little knows her way around television. With over 7,400 hours of live national television hosting, Lea has developed quite a fan base. Best known for her home-shopping shows in over 60 million homes, Lea says, “I am so grateful to have found such a fun and rewarding career helping people find products that enhance their lives and make them feel good.” If you’re a shopper you will recognize her from almost 10 years with Shop at Home hosting exotic jewelry shows, in addition to featuring electronic products ranging from camcorders and computers to home theatre systems and portable entertainment items for Circuit City, and cooking and kitchen gadgets in the HGTV Dream Home. With over $245 million in sales to date, her product presentation specialties also include health & beauty products and home accents such as furniture, lighting and bedding, fitness items and collectibles. And she recently launched the first branded line of jewelry on Jewelry Television, called Bella Luce. In 2008, her first infomercial featuring the Maxiglide hair care line will hit the U.S. air waves. But her television talents extend well beyond her sales ability. Local morning shows have enjoyed her product presentations and expertise. She serves as a spokesperson for law firms across the country, hosts various local projects in Nashville and has volunteered on-air for PBS for almost 12 years. Lea began in the television industry as an entertainment journalist producing the “Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader Special” while still in college. She then continued learning the production ropes with Westcott Communications, home to seven national networks at the time. In the early ‘90s, she helped originate the news magazine program, ”Hot, Hip & Country.” In addition to producing field stories and interviewing celebrities across the country, she launched the Nashville office and was instrumental in taking the show to national syndication. She was later recruited by a WB Network affiliate to serve as Director of Production & Promotions overseeing image campaigns, promotions and marketing all while doubling as an on-air personality for the station…and moon-lighting on a small shopping network called MOR Galleria. Raised in Dallas, Texas by an actress mother and minister father, Lea has quite a mixed bag of high drama and high standards. She graduated from the University of Texas in Dallas with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. She is also an Accredited Jewelry Professional with certification from the Gemological Institute of America. Her favorite hobby--outside of shopping of course--is beach volleyball. And she shares her life with her music-producer husband, Anthony Little, and their sweet and quirky pets Bunny and Jazz. |
